Mission Statements

St. Mary's Whitechapel and Trinity are a part of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States, and in communion with other Anglican churches throughout the world.


The Mission Statement of St. Mary’s Whitechapel Episcopal Church   

  • To be a servant community witnessing to the love and lordship of Jesus Christ;
  • To use our spirituality and material resources with Christian responsibility;
  • To encourage Christian growth and worship for all;
  • To meet the needs of our neighbors in cooperation with other churches;
  • To provide leadership and support in denominational affairs and the church universal;
  • To invest our energies in evangelism; and
  • To devote every effort to promote the welfare and spiritual wellbeing of our congregation.


The Mission Statement of Trinity Episcopal Church

Trinity is a little country church in the heart of Lancaster County.  Our mission is fostering Christian growth within our church family, reaching out to others, and witnessing to Christ's love through our words, deeds, and generosity of spirit.
